Sandra's Background + Story
Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Chapman University and completed the Event Management Certification Program at the University of San Diego. Her passion for creative organization and refined experiences drives her to deliver stunning events, memorable guest experiences, and exceptional client service. With a multicultural background and trilingual fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin, Sandra is uniquely positioned to serve today’s global market. Born and raised in Hong Kong, where she has lived for over 15 years, she has a deep understanding of its multicultural landscape and a strong international perspective, enabling her to connect with clients worldwide. Her work has been featured in The New York Times, PEOPLE, STYLE Network, Hawaii’s OC16, Pacific Weddings, Hawaii Bride and Groom, Style Me Pretty, Junebug Weddings, Over The Moon, Destination I Do, Your Wedding Day, and Modern Weddings Hawaii.
In 2008, Finishing Touch was invited to be listed amongst the elite group of wedding professionals on the Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Platinum List.
As the founder and principal planner, Sandra works directly with our clients in creating a vision for their event and helping them achieve their goal through her guidance in the smallest details. She also has the responsibility of designing the overall decor and ambiance of each event and creating the best experience for each guest. Sandra is also in charge of developing, mentoring and supervising our pre-event planning and production team and our day of event staff.

Sandra is deeply committed to community and giving back. She is a founding member of Love Gives Hawaii, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization she helped establish to unite event professionals in raising funds through events, auctions, and service in support of local Hawaii charities and missions. In addition to her philanthropic work, Sandra is actively involved in her children’s school and sports communities. She has also served as a volunteer mentor with SCORE Hawaii, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping Hawaii small businesses launch, grow, and achieve their goals through education and mentorship. Sandra is a member of the Pacific Business News Leadership Trust, an exclusive community of influential business leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs across Oahu and the neighbor islands. As an invited member, she contributes articles to Pacific Business News and participates in expert panels alongside fellow leaders.
When Sandra isn’t designing events or working on a new community passion project, she enjoys traveling, attending her children’s sports games and performances, discovering new restaurants while sharing meaningful conversations with friends, and spending quality time with her husband, Marvin, and their sons, Nyle and Levi.
