Meet Sandra Williams

founder, principal planner

Sandra began her career in the event industry in 2002, by working with various non-profit organizations in planning million dollar fundraising events in Southern California. Sandra’s passion, creativity and eye for design led her to utilize her talents into complete wedding design and planning. In 2005, she officially launched Finishing Touch, and instantly attracted clients on a local and national level. Known for her sense of style, creativity and attention to details, each of Sandra’s events are unique and memorable in design.

Sandra's Background + Story

Sandra holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Chapman University, and she also went through the University of San Diego Event Management Certification Program. Her focus in wedding planning business development and background in event and catering design allows her to present her clients with up to date wedding trends, excellent customer service, and sophisticated dining and event design that will simply take your breath away. Sandra’s multicultural background and her trilingual ability (English, Cantonese and Mandarin) make her the ideal event planner in today’s global market. Sandra’s designs have been featured on the STYLE Network, Hawaii’s OC 16, Pacific Weddings, Hawaii Bride and Groom, Your Wedding Day, Destination I Do, Style Me Pretty and Modern Weddings Hawaii. 

In 2008, Finishing Touch was invited to be listed amongst the elite group of wedding professionals on the Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Platinum List.

As the founder and principal planner, Sandra works directly with our clients in creating a vision for their wedding and helping them achieve their goal through her guidance in the smallest details. She also has the responsibility of designing the overall decor and ambiance of each event and creating the best experience for each wedding guest. Sandra is also in charge of developing, mentoring and supervising our pre-event planning and production team and our day of event staff.

Sandra strongly believes in community and giving back. She is one of the founding members and currently serves as a board member of Love Gives Hawaii, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that consists of a community of event professionals inspired to give hope and support to the people of Hawaii. She is also heavily involved in her children’s school PTA. Sandra is a volunteer mentor with SCORE Hawaii, a nonprofit organization, dedicated to helping Hawaii small businesses get off the ground, grow and achieve their goals through education and professional business mentorship. Sandra is a member of the Pacific Business News Leadership Trust, ​an exclusive community for influential business leaders, executives and entrepreneurs in Oahu and Neighbor Islands. As an invited member, Sandra contributes articles to Pacific Business News and participates alongside fellow members in Expert Panels.      

When Sandra is not designing an event or working on a new community project, she enjoys trying new ethnic cuisines, tasting wines, working on home improvement projects and spending time with her husband Marvin and their sons Nyle and Levi.

Kandis has worked in the event and wedding industry since 2012 and acts as director of communication for one of Hawaii's top decor and rental companies. Her experience in the industry and relationships with vendors and clients from all over the world have given her the ability to translate various styles of design. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, dedicated guidance and warm demeanor make her an absolute joy to work with and an invaluable asset to Finishing Touch. Kandis draws inspiration from her love of photography and interior design. She's passionate about being a part of bringing each client’s vision to life, while keeping the planning process organized and stress-free. 

Outside of weddings and events, Kandis loves to learn new things and considers herself a jack of all trades! She's independent and isn't afraid to try new things. She can usually be found creating new things, thrifting old things and spending as much time in nature as she can with the love of her life and their five children. 

Meet Kandis Lott

administrative Coordinator

Born and raised in Hawaii, Lei has a Bachelor’s degree in business marketing from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Upon graduating, she has worked as a general manager for a catering company, organized charitable fundraisers, managed the office of an elite floral design company, as well as other event industry related positions in the last 15 years. Lei has a diverse background and knowledge in all aspects of events. She carries an extreme attention to detail and a natural way of keeping things organized and efficient. Her strong work ethic and hard-working attitude ensures she will follow through on any and all responsibilities that come her way. She finds wedding coordination to be extremely rewarding, being part of something so special and memorable. 

In her free time, Lei enjoys many outdoor activities such as hiking and going to the beach. She has a passion for giving back and often volunteers for local charities.  She loves the simple things in life like spending time with her husband, their daughter, family and close friends.
